About Us

Hi, I’m Amy Steinle — your local, neighborhood, food-obsessed homeschool mom.
I’ve got the know-how and the elbow grease to bring you the homemade goodies you’ve been craving.

I graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2002 with a B.S. in Food and Nutrition in Business and Industry, along with a minor in Spanish. While earning my degree, I worked in restaurant kitchens like The Black-Eyed Pea and Cool River, learning firsthand what it takes to turn good ingredients into food people come back for.

As I got older, it became clear that chronic pain and autoimmune disease made it difficult to stay in the kind of fast-paced kitchen work I loved. Because of that — and a deep personal conviction — I became a homeschool mom to my three kids in 2012, and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

They’re getting bigger now, and it feels like the right time for all of us to spread our wings and go after our dreams. This is mine.

So won’t you join me as I bake, cook, and create from scratch — blending science with soul, tradition with creativity, and always measuring the vanilla by heart?
